Witchy Candle Company

Witchy Candle Company

Nature candles, forest candles, even fairy garden candles, but what about witchy candles?

That’s been a certain point of learning as we take on this project of launching a successful candle and soap company from our home. We’re drawn to witchy stuff. You probably are if you’re reading this post. So, if we’re both into it, why is it so difficult to market?

A while back, a friend who worked in SEO told me there is no market for what I called ‘witchy moms’. I used that term to describe what I thought was our ideal customer. I guess they call this a buyer persona in business, but it makes sense. As you look through various candle companies on Etsy, you soon realize that there are dozens if not hundreds of niches when it comes to the personalities of candle companies, but it’s a tall task to assume the role of a ‘witchy’ company.

We’re thankful for that term though. It might not be the highest ranking long tailed keyword search, but it has introduced us to some really awesome people. We could never imagine reshaping our company in a way that would no longer honor our little pointy-hatted friend, the Hedgewitch either. Witchy vibes are certainly part of our personality as a company, and that vibe is here to stay.
