Aromatherapy Candles or Meditation Candles?

If you ask me, both terms are a bit subjective. I think of each candle as a different mood, or even better yet a different story. In fact, EBA is currently in the early stages of producing a more literary-focused project called Mosswood Forest in which the themes of each candle are explored in more detail.

Yet, these candles have always told me their own stories. I appreciate what EBA is doing with the storytelling aspect of their creations, but I find myself creating my own tales as well.

To me, each scent is like a memory in a jar. Some of them hit really hard too. I’ve never really been able to fully express just where the nostalgic aromas take me, but I am working on bettering that craft in the form of this blog. I do have a unique perspective into this magical company. Still it is true, each candle tells a story in my head from a book that I have not dusted off for a very long time.

So, the question remains, are these candles aromatherapy or meditation. Short answer, yes(?). Aromatherapy sounds like it signifies healing to some people. I struggle with that word because healing is such a personal journey. To say that our candles offer healing would be far too heady of a claim, and to deny that they bring people joy would be equally unfair. I’ve seen our candles remind people of loved ones they have lost. I can’t bring myself to write more about it, but I’ve seen their faces when they get to open their own books of memories.

Meditation is an equally tricky word. I frequently use EBA candles with either a bath or creative time. Both of these are times of deep contemplation for me. There is no denying that the company of a single flame along with an enchantingly nostalgic aroma bring you a peaceful focus on your inner-self.

I hope these candles have offered you similar experiences too. Our meditation candles have always been associated with our crackling wood wick series. That is for good reason too. They come with an added bonus of a subtle yet captivating audio that is not unlike a small fireplace. It certainly helps bring your creative focus to a level of blissful concentration.
